Kids 5β9 years old β’ 10 week creative adventure β½ Theme: SPORT! β¨ Learning focus: How to show movement in art Ole Ole Oleeeee! πβ½ This term the studio turns into a world of jumping, running, kicking, spinning and cheering as our youngest artists dive into the exciting world of sport through drawing, painting, imagination and craft. From the energy of the Olympic Games to the excitement of the Australian Open, from famous football teams to basketball legends, students will discover how artists capture action, speed and movement inside their artworks. How do you make a drawing feel FAST? How can colours feel energetic? How can one pose make a character look like theyβre about to score the winning goal? π Art History (Week 1) We will discover artists who painted movement, sport and action, and see how they captured energy inside their artworks. β Drawing Project (Markers & Pencils) Students will design their own Olympic Games mascots and create a whole team of sporty characters full of personality, movement and fun. Tiny champions ready for the big game! π¨ Painting Project (Oil Painting on Canvas) We will paint adorable sport characters in action β kicking footballs, jumping, skating and racing across the canvas using bold colours and energetic brushstrokes. π Imagination Drawing What if your child could invent their own sport? Flying tennis? Rainbow racing? Frog Olympics? Students will create their own imaginative games, rules, teams and action scenes using markers and pencils. 𧡠Craft Project (Papier-mΓ’chΓ©) Children will design and build a decorative logo of their favourite team using papier-mΓ’chΓ© techniques β perfect for hanging proudly in their room. π Why sport? Because movement teaches young artists how to: β create action and storytelling β draw energetic poses β understand rhythm and composition β turn ideas into exciting visual worlds π Term dates 13 July β 20 September 2026 10 weeks β¨ No public holidays this term β uninterrupted creative fun all the way through! Cancellation Policy
No more than TWO make-up classes are allowed per school term.Β Make-up class must be scheduled in advance and are limited to existing class times only. Make-up class is subject to availability of slots and classes.Β Make-up class is not transferable to the next term. Make up lessons can't be used as a credit for the next school holiday program. School is closed on the public holidays. If class comes on the public holiday, one of the make-up classes can be used to cover it if you want to catch up the program.
