Each term at Art Academica is a journey rather than a set of lessons.
Across our studios, children, teens, and adults step into a shared creative world — one where ideas grow slowly, hands learn to trust themselves, and every artwork becomes a small experiment in thinking differently.

For kids aged 5–9, classes are playful and exploratory. We nurture curiosity, imagination, and confidence through storytelling, drawing, painting, building, and gentle creative challenges that help children feel safe to try, make mistakes, and discover their own voice.
For students aged 9–14, the focus begins to deepen. We introduce more structure, techniques, and longer projects, helping children develop focus, visual thinking, and the courage to shape their own ideas while still keeping the joy of making at the centre.
Our teen classes offer space for identity, experimentation, and independent thinking. Students explore themes, materials, and creative problem-solving while learning to stay with complex projects and express ideas that matter to them.

Our adult classes welcome beginners and returning creatives alike. These sessions are about slowing down, reconnecting with creativity, and finding a calm, supportive space to learn, experiment, and belong — no prior experience needed.

Across all age groups, our teachers are practising artists who bring warmth, patience, and real-world creative experience into the studio. They guide rather than rush, encourage rather than correct, and help each student grow in their own way.
Every term becomes a quiet unfolding — of skills, confidence, and the simple joy of making something that didn’t exist before.

With teens, I also love guiding the folio journey: helping students shape their ideas, refine their skills, and build a body of work that truly represents who they are as artists. A strong folio isn’t just about technique — it’s about confidence, direction, and finding your own visual voice.

I love creating a cozy, welcoming space where students feel safe to explore their ideas and express who they are. I enjoy blending painting, digital art, and hands-on craft, and I bring that mix into the classroom so students can experiment with colour, texture, and storytelling in their own way.
I guide students with thoughtful questions rather than perfect examples, helping them build confidence, trust their instincts, and discover their unique creative voice. What I hope to give my students is more than technical skills — I want art to become a place they can return to, a space for reflection, imagination, and self-belief as they grow.

I love showing children that art is a place where confidence can quietly grow. I discovered this myself years ago at Art Academica, where a teacher believed in me enough to help me take art seriously — and I carry that feeling into every class I teach.
I work with watercolour, gouache, and love building tiny worlds from recycled materials, turning unwanted things into small treasures. In my lessons, everything becomes a story. Colours meet for the first time, lines try to find their way home, pencils learn to be gentle.
What I hope to give your child is belief — belief that their ideas matter, that creativity has no limits, and that they are capable of truly wonderful things.

I love art because it lets ideas escape from your head and become something real. I realised this when I was first asked to create a custom illustration for someone — helping another person see their imagination come to life was incredibly powerful, and it’s a feeling I now bring into the classroom.
In my classes, I create alongside the students. We try things together, get excited together, and break complex ideas into simple, manageable steps.
What I hope to give your child is curiosity, joy, and confidence. Curiosity to ask why and how. Joy in the process of making. And the understanding that a “bad” drawing is not a failure — it’s a sign their artistic eye is growing. Art should feel bright, playful, and full of possibility, just like summer.

​In my classes, I encourage students to slow down, observe, and think carefully about their ideas. I love sketching with simple tools like a ballpoint pen — it teaches intention, confidence, and commitment to every line. I bring that same mindset into teaching, helping students trust their choices and grow brave with their imagination.

What I enjoy most is listening to students — their thoughts, curiosities, and ideas about the world. My goal is for children to leave class seeing the world differently, knowing that even the simplest idea can become something exciting.
