🐦🌈 Rainbow Birds Coloured Paper Collage & Framed Artwork | Ages 9–14 Duration: 3 hours 📍 Monet Campus – 753 Centre Road, Bentleigh East, Melbourne All materials and art smocks are provided. 🎨 FOR KIDS Imagine two birds flying beneath a rainbow when something strange happens — the colours seem much closer than they should be. Curious, they fly towards it. Closer and closer, until suddenly the colours spill across their feathers. Deep blues, flashes of yellow, turquoise and violet transform them into something completely new Rainbow Birds. In this workshop, you’ll turn that story into a framed collage artwork, working with coloured paper to explore shape, layering, composition and, most importantly, colour theory. You’ll experiment with how colours interact which combinations create contrast, which feel harmonious, and how your choices can change the mood of the entire piece. There’s room to make the artwork distinctly yours, from the birds’ colours to the atmosphere surrounding them. No two Rainbow Birds need to look alike. That’s part of the idea. 👨‍👩‍👧 FOR PARENTS For pre-teens and teens, art becomes a powerful tool for self-expression—a way to explore not just how to create, but why certain colors and shapes speak to us.
