Not an alarm. Not a noisy bird. Not even a giant breakfast. But the moment Moony heard that a group of cheerful young artists wanted to paint him, Yikes! his eyes popped open! Suddenly, being a model sounded much more exciting than another nap. In this workshop, you’ll paint Moony in his funny monster outfit, with sleepy eyes, bright spots and a wonderfully grumpy little face. You can choose his colours, add playful details and decide what kind of monster costume he should wear. Moony is ready for his big moment. Pick up your brush and help him stay awake long enough for his portrait. 👨‍👩‍👧 FOR PARENTS This character-based workshop helps children discover how facial expressions, colour and shape can give a painted figure its own personality. While creating Moony, young artists will practise acrylic painting on canvas, brush control, colour mixing and simple character design. The playful subject makes the activity approachable for children aged 5–9, while the structured painting time encourages focus, patience and confidence. Children are guided by professional artist-teachers, but they are also given space to make individual choices and turn Moony into a character that feels completely their own. School holidays can bring more noise, more time together and, sometimes, more sibling disagreements. A focused creative session gives children a positive change of environment where they can settle into their own artwork, enjoy a little independence and return home feeling proud and refreshed.
