Markers & Liners on Paper | Ages 5–9 Duration: 2 hours 📍 Monet Campus – 753 Centre Road, Bentleigh East All materials and art smocks are provided. 🧸 FOR KIDS Imagine climbing a giant mountain with your friends… and then suddenly stopping because something enormous is floating above the clouds. A whale. In the sky. At first nobody speaks. Is it real? Is it a dream? The giant creature glides slowly through the air while the mountains glow blue and green beneath it. Everyone just stands there staring. Maybe your whale is travelling to another planet. Maybe it protects hidden mountain villages. Every artwork becomes its own story filled with wonder and imagination. 🎨 FOR PARENTS Wow in the Sky gently introduces students to construction thinking through illustration, storytelling and imaginative design. Using strong lines, shapes and layered colours, children will explore how drawings are constructed — almost like building tiny worlds on paper. As they build landscapes, perspective and atmosphere on paper, they begin understanding how artists and designers turn ideas into believable visual worlds. For ages 9–14, workshops like this help them encourage creative confidence while focusing and thinking independently in a calm and inspiring environment as they were guided by our professional artist-teachers. Part of our InDesign Series, this workshop is a thoughtful and engaging introduction to the world of design, concept art and visual storytelling. Sometimes a single impossible moment — like spotting a whale drifting across the sky — can open a child’s imagination in the most unforgettable way.
