What if it came from you? In this special workshop, you'll step into the role of both artist and creator, designing a completely original Pokémon card from scratch. What does your Pokémon look like? Is it a mysterious forest guardian? A lightning-powered dragon? A tiny creature that can control time? You'll design the character, create its visual style, invent its abilities, choose its strengths and weaknesses, and develop the story behind it. Then you'll bring everything together into a professional-looking trading card using markers and illustration techniques. This isn't about copying Pokémon. It's about creating something nobody has ever seen before. A card that could only exist because you imagined it. 👨‍👩‍👧 FOR PARENTS Pokémon has captivated children for decades because it combines collecting, storytelling, strategy and visual design. This workshop takes that passion one step further. Instead of collecting cards, students become the creators behind them. Throughout the session, students develop character design skills, storytelling ability, creative thinking and visual communication while building a unique Pokémon concept from the ground up. They are encouraged to think not only about how a character looks, but why it exists, what it can do and how its design reflects its personality. Led by Esther Cheng, this workshop is particularly appealing to creative children who love drawing, gaming, fantasy worlds and character development. The three-hour format allows students time to move beyond simple drawing and develop a richer, more thoughtful concept. All materials are provided.
