🎂🦥 Benjamin – The Birthday Boy Acrylic Painting on Canvas | Ages 5–9 Duration: 2 hours 📍 Monet Campus – 753 Centre Road, Bentleigh East All materials and art smocks are provided. 🧁 FOR KIDS What would your dream birthday cupcake look like? rainbow sprinkles, strawberry icing, or perhaps a tiny mountain of chocolate? Benjamin the little sloth is getting ready for his birthday celebration, and he can hardly wait to share his special day with new friends at Art Academica. With his eyes closed and a big happy smile, he is holding the most delicious-looking cupcake imaginable. During this workshop, you’ll paint Benjamin on a real canvas using cheerful colours, soft shapes and lots of playful details. You can choose your own cupcake colours, add bright sprinkles and create a birthday scene filled with happiness. Come along, make a wish and help Benjamin turn his celebration into a beautiful painted memory. 👨‍👩‍👧 FOR PARENTS Birthdays are full of feelings children understand deeply—excitement, friendship, anticipation and the joy of sharing a special moment. This workshop uses those familiar emotions to help young artists feel comfortable, inspired and confident in their ideas. Children will learn how to build a cute character from simple shapes, paint expressive facial features and use colour to create a warm, joyful mood. Working on canvas also develops brush control, concentration and patience, while still leaving plenty of room for personal touches. Our professional artist-teachers will guide the group throughout the session, encouraging each child to make Benjamin and his cupcake uniquely their own. All art materials and protective smocks are included. It’s a lovely activity to enjoy with siblings or friends, and the finished canvas can become a thoughtful handmade gift—or a happy keepsake for your child’s own room. Some of the sweetest memories begin with paint, laughter and a cupcake made in your favourite colours. 💛
