In this workshop, we’ll paint a chubby-cheeked seal proudly holding its shiny golden fish—what a catch! 🦭✨ You’ll learn how to create a sparkling sea, add shine to wet fur, and bring your seal’s expression to life with bold oil paint. Did you know seals can dive over 300 metres deep in search of dinner? But don’t worry—our seal’s already found their fish, and now it’s your turn to bring the story to life on canvas! For Parents: “The Good Catch” invites young artists to dive into the playful world of marine animals through rich, expressive oil painting. This workshop introduces techniques like blending, layering, and texture building, while encouraging a sense of humour and storytelling. Students will explore character design through gesture and detail—learning how to create movement in water and shine on wet fur and fish. A delightful way to build confidence with oil paints while having fun with a lovable underwater scene. 🐟 Each child will bring home a joyful seal portrait full of charm, colour, and a story worth sharing.
