Kids 5–9 years old • 10 Week Adventure 🍄 Theme: “Mycology — The Magical Science of Mushrooms” ✨ Learning Focus: Patterns in Nature 📅 Term dates: 26 January - 4th April. In this term on Saturday we will have public holiday: 4 April - Holy Saturday Please book make up classes as usual on any days available during this week if you want to catch up. Next term, we’re shrinking down to forest size! Our studio becomes a tiny world of mushroom villages, jumping frogs, secret fairy windows, and spotted umbrellas sprouting from the soil. Children will not only draw mushrooms — they’ll study how they grow, turn them into characters, design their homes, and fill their forest with patterns only nature could invent. 📚 Art History (Week 1) We’ll see how real artists turned nature into storytelling — from fairytale illustrators to botanical explorers. 🖌 Drawing Project (pencil) 🏡 Design your own mushroom house — with windows, doors, chimneys, and maybe even a snail mail postbox! 🎨 Painting Project (Oil Pastel) 🐸 Create a bold poster-style mushroom with funny frogs, playing with bright colours and spotted patterns. ✂️ Imagination (Collage) 🦋 Build a joyful forest filled with butterflies, bugs, leaves and sparkly mushrooms using paper + acrylic markers. 🧵 Craft Project 🍄 Shape a plasticine mushroom character scene — will your mushroom wear shoes? Glasses? A crown? You decide! 🌿 Why Mushrooms?
