"Spring in the Alps"- Oil Painting Workshop Ages 9-14 years 📍 VanGogh Campus — 64 Rosstown Road, Carnegie ⏰ 16 January 2:00-5:00 pm FOR KIDS Imagine a tiny pink train chugging happily through the Alps, weaving its way between bright spring flowers and fresh mountain breezes. In this workshop, you’ll paint snowy peaks melting into sunshine, rolling green hills waking up after winter, and a cheerful little train making its joyful journey through it all. You’ll learn how to layer colours to create grassy meadows, soft petals, and glowing mountain light — the kind that makes the whole world feel new again. FOR PARENTS This session focuses on landscape composition, perspective, and colour-layering with oils. Students will explore how to balance foreground elements (flowers, tracks, the train) with distant mountains, building depth and storytelling inside a landscape. Painting with oils helps young artists slow down, plan their steps, and work with intention — all while creating a warm, whimsical Alpine scene.
