Today we’re heading outdoors… but with plasticine! In “Lucky Ducky on Plein Air,” you’ll sculpt your very own bright yellow duck enjoying a sunny day outside. Maybe it’s sitting in the grass, smelling flowers, reading a book, or floating in a tiny puddle — you decide! Did you know real artists sometimes paint “en plein air,” which means outside, to capture real sunlight and shadows? Our Lucky Ducky decided to do the same. Today, you’ll sculpt the same — but with squishy, colourful clay instead of paint in our art school! Come ready to stretch, roll, pinch, shape and build — your ducky is waiting to waddle into the world! FOR PARENTS This plasticine workshop is a wonderful introduction to sculpture for young artists. Children will: • Strengthen fine motor skills through sculpting techniques • Learn about composition and outdoor light in a fun, age-friendly way • Explore character creation while building confidence and imagination Plasticine is forgiving and tactile, making it ideal for this age group. With guidance from our teachers, each child will create a delightful 3D scene to proudly take home.
