"Look at the Space"- Oil Painting Workshop Ages 9-14 years 📍 Monet Campus — 753 Centre Road Bentleigh East ⏰ 20 January 2:00-5:00 pm FOR KIDS Imagine drifting through the quiet, sparkling darkness of space… and then turning around to see Earth glowing beneath you. That’s exactly what we’ll paint in this workshop — swirling white and pink clouds, distant stars, and our beautiful blue planet shining like a jewel. You’ll learn how artists create soft, cosmic blends using oil paint, how to make stars twinkle with tiny brushstrokes, and how to build contrast so your Earth looks like it’s truly floating in space. It’s your own little window into the universe. FOR PARENTS This session gently introduces more advanced painting skills — smooth gradient blending, atmospheric colour harmony, and the balance between soft edges and crisp details. Kids will be guided step by step but still have the freedom to imagine their own universe and personalise their cosmic view. It’s a calming, inspirational afternoon, and a perfect chance for kids to slow down, dream big, and enjoy the process of making something extraordinary. And as always — they’re warmly encouraged to bring a friend along.
