In “80 Days Around the World,” you’ll create a detailed blueprint of your own imaginative flying machine — complete with wings, engines, propellers, hidden compartments, and all the clever features only you would think of. The earliest concept art for flying machines came from Leonardo da Vinci, who drew dozens of designs long before airplanes existed. Now it’s your turn to take his curiosity and push it even further! We’ll explore how designers break down an idea, sketch different views of an object, and combine creativity with technical thinking. By the end, your aircraft will look ready for takeoff — and ready to impress. FOR PARENTS This workshop blends creativity with early industrial design principles, perfect for older students who enjoy drawing, engineering ideas, or world-building. Students will learn: • How to sketch simple mechanical parts (wings, turbines, hinges, propellers) • How to communicate an idea visually through diagrams and design drawings • How to add detail, structure, and purpose to their inventions Our experienced teachers will guide them through planning, refining, and illustrating their vision — a fantastic portfolio piece for young artists or future designers.
