People believed cats brought protection and magic. In this workshop, you’ll create your own Egyptian cat on dark paper using glowing acrylic markers. Will your cat wear a golden crown? A jewel necklace? Have emerald eyes that shine in the night? But here’s the real magic… Every royal cat needs a story. Is your cat guarding a treasure? Protecting a secret scroll? Whispering ancient spells at sunset? Bring your imagination. Bring a friend. Let’s create a legendary creature together… tsssss 🐱✨ ⸻ 👨‍👩‍👧 FOR PARENTS Egyptian Cat…tsssss is a storytelling-focused illustration workshop designed especially for young book lovers and imaginative thinkers. Using acrylic markers on dark paper, children experience high-contrast drawing — learning how light colours glow dramatically against deep backgrounds. More importantly, they build narrative thinking: Who is this character? What is their role? What is their secret? Storytelling strengthens language development, sequencing skills, and creative confidence. Working alongside peers makes the experience even richer — children naturally share ideas, expand on each other’s stories, and build social confidence through art. This workshop is led by Connah Brecon, whose illustration sessions are known to sell out quickly. His ability to connect storytelling and drawing makes this one particularly special. These sessions tend to fill fast — especially with Connah leading.
