PLAIN AIR SESSIONS

We are inviting you to paint on Plain Air to capture the beauty of our picturesque Melbourne.

Dramatic skies at sunset on St Kilda and Brighton, or with high wind clouds and monoliths of CBD, puffy cumulonimbus clouds, rain clouds of Botanical gardens, are often the reason that we are drawn to paint a scene. This workshop will cover the techniques used to obtain all of the above types of landscape and the colours associated with them, panting your unique impressionistic work along with the reference of professional European artist Taya Danchenko as she demonstrates specific brush strokes, layering and mixing techniques to obtain dramatic results in AlaPrima

Demonstrations will be given on how to plan your painting, mix colors, select your brush, and focus on a variety of brushwork techniques. All materials are provided to you as part of your registration fee.
